Serve Weekend | December 5th-7th, 2025
Begin the Christmas season by giving back! You can impact real needs in communities close to us by participating in a service opportunity on the weekend of December 5th-7th. We're encouraging everyone at Granite City to consider your gifts, abilities, and heart for our community and get plugged in to serve as you are able.
Ways to serve:
December 5th, 6:45-8:45pm: Help children at Club KidsRock learn about the true meaning of Christmas by volunteering to assist with games, crafts, and more at our Birthday Party for Jesus event. Note: For everyone's safety, a completed CORI background check (which we will provide) is required to serve at this event.
December 6th, 11:00am - 1:30pm: Create a little holiday magic by helping kids in foster care create keepsake Christmas ornaments. This event will take place at First Presbyterian Church in Quincy. Granite City is participating alongside other local churches and with event organizer The Forgotten Initiative. This event is truly heartwarming and can be family-friendly, depending on the ages of your own children.
December 7th, right after the Sunday service until 2pm: Distribute free diapers, food, toiletries and children's clothing to our vulnerable neighbors at the KidsRock Closet Holiday Party. You can be a shining light this season to local families in need! This event is family-friendly and suitable for all ages.
