Read the Bible with Us

Reading The Bible is a fundamental and beautiful part of our spiritual formation as Jesus followers.  The Bible is both accessible and challenging, but with help there is so much to we can gain.  In 2025 and 2026, Granite City Church will be reading through the entire bible.  Starting on January 1, 2025 we will read about 2 chapters every weekday, with weekends reserved for rest and catching up on reading.  We are using resources created by AWKNG School of Theology and the Bible Project to help aid people on this journey.  This includes bible reading plans for each book of the bible, video summaries of the bible, group study material, podcasts designed to answer questions about each book of the bible, and more.  If you want full access to the AWAKNG School of Theology resrouces you will need to create an account with AWKNG here, all the materials are free (our own teaching Pastor, Mike Chu, is the Academic Director at AWKNG).  For those simply looking for the reading plans themselves, you can download PDFs of the reading plans below.  Over the course of these two years, we will also have sermons and sermon series and discipleship classes that will periodically coincide with the reading plans.  We are so excited to do this together.
