The KidsRock Closet is a ministry of Granite City Church providing free kids' clothing and information on community resources for local families in need. One bag of clothing essentials (6 items) will be provided free of charge per visit. Through the generosity of the congregation of Granite City Church, we currently have diapers available for families undergoing financial challenges (limited sizes currently in stock). Diaper distribution takes place once per month on our Sunday open date.
HOURS:
All Wednesdays - open 9-11am
1st Sunday of each calendar month - open 12:30-2:30pm.
We are accepting donations of new, like new, or very gently used clothing and shoes in children's/youth sizes only. All clothing donations must be free from holes, stains, and excessive wear and be suitable for children up to age 14 in style and condition. We also accept diaper donations (including partially used packs). Clothing and diaper donations are sorted by size and provided for free to local families in need in the community, and also distributed to children going into foster care or families that are leaving domestic violence situations.
For the health and safety of the community, at this time we cannot accept donations of toys or children's gear (cribs, strollers, seats, etc). Donations can be dropped off during open hours, listed above, or by appointment.
