Fall Kickoff Sunday | September 8, 10am
We're kicking off the fall ministry season at Granite City Church on Sunday, September 8th. Our KidsRock classes are back for the fall program year, and after the Sunday service everyone is invited to join in our all-church cookout. We're serving up hamburgers, veggie burgers, hotdogs, homemade desserts and more. Along with good food and friendly company, you'll get the chance to see what's coming up this fall for small groups, Bible studies and volunteer opportunities. Fall kickoff is a great time to give something new a try!
The centerpiece of Fall Kickoff Sunday is the launch of our new sermon series, Fear Not: Finding Peace in an Age of Anxiety. Why are we talking about this now? Because -- by almost every measure -- our culture is more anxious than it has ever been at any point in history. And even if you're not feeling it, it's pretty much guaranteed that someone who you love is struggling.
But here's the good news: God does not leave us alone in the middle of these emotions. More than any other command in scripture, God says, "Fear not." Over the next several weeks we will unpack the ways God meets us in the midst of our fears and our anxieties. Together, let's seek the peace He longs for us to know. Will you join us?
